This engine has not run in 40-50 years…
We have it running again!
In May of 1999 we purchased and started restoration
on a 1928 Baldwin 2-6-6-2 T Mallet!
The engine was built originally for the
Weyhauser Lumber Company in Washington State. It was then sold to
Rayonier Lumber Company, then to the Heber Valley Railroad, then
finally to the state of Nevada. We purchased this engine because
it has 37,500 lbs. of tractive effort. Our other engines have 23,000
lbs.
Harney Canyon ...Our
Newest Car!
Harney Canyon was the first
siding south of Hill City, South Dakota on
the HighLine.
