Like any ticketed event, all sales are final and no refunds or exchanges are offered unless the ticketed train does not operate.
Refunds will be given under the following circumstances:
A. If the train does not make it to the first destination, a full refund will be given.
B. If the train makes it to one of the stations and not the next, a refund will be given for the difference of half of the round trip ticket.
Adults $29.00 Round Trip = $14.50 Refund
Children $14.00 Round Trip = $7.00 Refund
Advance ticket purchase is recommended at least one week prior to your ride as tickets sell out. You are able to change the date or time of your departure after your tickets are purchased, but all purchases are non-refundable.
Seating is assigned. In order to sit together, all passengers must be under ONE reservation. When making reservations online, you may select your seats for the departure and return trips. Please ensure you have the final count of your party when making your reservation and selecting seat assignments. Seat assignments cannot be changed once selected or assigned. Guests who add on to a reservation at a later date are not guaranteed a seat with your party.
Children 2 and under must be held on a lap. If you prefer they have their own seat, or would like to bring their car seat, a child’s ticket must be purchased.

Purchase tickets with a credit card. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Check in and pick up your tickets at the will-call desk 30 minutes prior to departure at your outbound station (Hill City or Keystone).
Cancellation and refund policy.
Rates listed do not include 9% sales tax. Train trip takes approximately one hour each way. See Special Events page for instructions tailored to your event. Please contact the Reservation Office for more information.
- As with any railroad, motive power, schedules and fares are subject to change without prior notice.
- Passengers assume all risk of personal injury or damage to their clothing and property.
- No animals allowed except service animals.
- The train is wheelchair accessible, but seating is limited. We can accommodate 2 passengers per train who utilize the lift. Reservations are a must to ensure an accessible seat.
